Life in a full circle

Doing up a new launch in the middle of the night again.
Can't help but laugh at the similarities between my current work and my previous job.
And also a short preview to my promised air crew post.

When people are enjoying their public holidays, I'm working.
When people are sleeping, I'm working.
When people are having fun travelling & buying stuff, I'm working.
I am still in the service line.
I still have irregular meals.
I still have crazy sleeping patterns.
I still drink Coca-cola to stay awake.
I still have to work even if I'm sick, heartbroken or having that time of the month.
I still say a lot of 'thank you' and 'sorry'.
It's always customers first. No matter how 'unique' they may be.

I still go to the airport for work, once in a while.
Because the Post Office there closes at 930pm, even on weekends and public holidays.

Both jobs look glamourous on the outside.
So most people won't believe that I work like mad to earn that bit of money.
It's all about visual appeal for both jobs.
No one cares if I have a PhD in aeronautical engineering or a diploma in gardening.

My passengers include teenagers, working ladies, housewives and mothers.
Just like TFL's customers.

Here's more similarities, disguised in the form of differences:

I used to wear a uniform. Now my PJs are like my uniforms.
I used to move luggages and heavy trolley carts. Now I'm moving bags. Same.
The Husband used to ferry me to and from the airport. Now he has to ferry my stocks on and off.

It used to be me wearing a smile on my face. Now it's about me inserting emoticons. =)
It used to be about me looking good. Now it's about having good-looking models.
It used to be strangers asking me why I work as an air crew when I have a business degree.
Now it's my parents asking me why I open a blogshop when I have a business degree.

Erm, can someone remind me again why I quitted my previous job?
