Hi there!
Hope your CNY has been fabulous!
Mine would have been better if I have a working fridge.
Imagine living with a dysfunctional fridge for a month!
I've forgotten how it is like to stand in front of a cold fridge with its door open and just grin at the massive amount of food inside.
Nowadays,
I try to relieve that memory by lingering longer at the chillers at
Cold Storage, longing for a bottle of cold Meiji choc milk or some
wonderful cheese for my pasta sitting in my fridge.
And the reason why we haven't gotten a new fridge?
Both the Husband and I were too busy.
Too busy to go check out prices.
Too busy to be at home in the daytime & wait for the delivery man.
Woes of dual-income couple.
I had half a mind to just go Mustafa and buy some mini fridge just to keep my Coke cold or chuck in that braised mushrooms my Grandaunt specially made for me during CNY.
But we were too busy for that pre-CNY.
So instead, we had to put that at my mum-in-law's fridge.
Luckily I bought her a humongous fridge when I stayed with them.
You know the kind where you can almost squeeze yourself inside if it's empty.
I love it so much! =D
It seems a luxury nowadays to be able to touch any cold food.
Sounds silly, I know, but wait till you don't have a fridge like me.
Even the basil pesto I have turned mouldy fast after I opened it.
Snapped this pic when I was at my Mum's place.
Sorry it's blur!
She had this big photo frame of multiple photo inserts.
My mum is unbelievably crazy over photo-taking and photo-displaying.
That's me when I was 2 or 3.
With a packet of Coca-cola.
I really looked like a tomboy, didn't I?
What happened to those pink dresses and frilly bows/hairbands little girls are supposed to wear?
With some Hello Kitty Mary-janes or something?
Gaah, I even had a belt over my khaki shorts, like some safari ranger.
Mum, why didn't you dress me up like a princess??
Why is my beanie blue and not pink??
Answer is it's my Dad's fault.
He doesn't like us to dress up too girly in case we become very vain.
DAAAAAAD!!!!!
Mum says when she was pregnant with me, she had this urge to drink Coca-cola every other day.
When I was born, I was a pretty dark baby.
When Mum was having my sister, she drank a lot of soyabean milk.
And you know the answer...sister was born very fair.
I think even now, sister is still fairer than me, though I have miraclously lightened many shades.
I bet I must have been a Coke guzzler in my past life too.
前世緣,今生續。
Hahaha!
Will be back with more entries over the weekend!
And thank you for all the loves in the last launch!
You gals have kept me so busy this week! I hope I have worked fast enough!
And it's really encouraging to receive encouraging emails from you too!
Now I just need my customers to share photos of you with your bags & I will be one happy girl! =D
You gals rock!
Have a fun fun fun weekend!!
